Semuliki forest Reserve (The True Birders Haven) was created in 1932 and upgraded to National Park status in 1993

It covers the area size of 220km squared with the altitude of 670-760m above the sea level.

It is located the Bundibugyo District of Western Uganda with four distinct ethnic group live near the park. The Bamba farmers live along the base of the Rwenzori while the Bakonjo cultivates the slopes of the Rwenzori’s. The Batuku cattle keepers inhabits the open plain and the Batwa, Pygmies traditional hunter gathers, live on the edges of the forest.

It is the one and only lowland tropical forest in East Africa hosting a record ed number of 441 bird’s species and about 53 mammals.

Semuliki National Park is also known for its unique male and female hot springs and also an adventure to the forest will expose you to features associated with central rather than Eastern Africa. Grass thatched huts are shaded by west African oil palms, the Semuliki River that forms the international boundary is the miniature version of the congo River.

This forest is a home to numerous central African wildlife species and the local population includes a Batwa pygmy community that originated from Ituri. The reason why the park provides a taste Central Africa within Uganda.

DAYS DESCRIPTIONS ACTIVITIES
Day 1 Arrive at the Airport Entebbe
On your arrival at the airport Entebbe, you will be picked by our driver and tour guide to take      you to the booked hotel. A breakfast or lunch or dinner will be saved to you depending on the arrival time.
If the arrival time is conveniency, a plan for the afternoon will be made that may include visiting the botanical garden in Entebbe, swimming or having an evening walk around the showers of Lake Victoria. Overnight will be taken in Entebbe
Day 2 Transfer to Fort Portal
Early morning break fast will be saved and thereafter You will be head to the tourism city of Uganda early morning after your breakfast through the Kampala Mityana route 316KM drive taking approximately 5-6 hours. The tourism city is located in the shadow of the Rwenzori Mountain the Mountain of the moon. A lot of beauty in the land should be on your expectations during this adventurous journey. Lunch will be saved in Fort Portal at the booked Hotel.
An evening walk nature walk at Amabeere Caves or Mahoma falls depending on the time.
Dinner and overnight is taken is Fort Portal City.
Day 3 Transfer to Semuliki National Parks
Early Morning breakfast is saved and the you will set for a 33KM drive to Semuliki National for a nature walk/ walking trails and a game drive. The game drive will give you the best experience the hot spring, birdwatching and also chimpanzee trekking.
The Afternoon lunch will save in Portal and we proceed to Kampala or Entebbe.
That will have marked the end of our three days Semuliki Valley National Park Adventure.
